I sent a call for applications to friends who lived around the US whom I could visit on a trip from San Francisco to New York. After I reviewed their applications, my friends received a letter of acceptance as a residency within the project.

I wanted to rethink the idea of an art residency by creating one that is tailored to the way I make my photographic artwork. I was also eager to derive a sense of satisfaction by requiring that others send me applications for my approval.
